Program Description

The Auto Service Technology program provides comprehensive training in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR). The program is NATEF certified and taught by a state licensed teacher and ASE certified technician.

The goals of the program are to provide automotive maintenance and light repair training, emphasizing employability skills and professionalism. There are opportunities for post-secondary advanced placement, internships and special projects for students who qualify.

Industry Certifications

NATEF MLR  test for qualified program completers

Students are encouraged to take the State of Michigan mechanic certification tests. School will reimburse test fee if student passes.

For College Bond Students

Upon successful completion of this program students may be eligible to receive advanced placement and/or college credit towards a degree at Baker College, Delta College, Ferris State University, Michigan Institute of Technology and Mott Community College.
